VIEWS Annual Summary

The VIEWS Annual Summary provides access to data products described in the VIEWS scope of work.  These products are intended to assist SIP/TIP writers in Regional Haze Planning.

On 12/12/2005 the Annual Summary was updated with annual statistics through 2004. These annual data aggregations for the 20% best and 20% worst visibility days represent the finalized calculation procedures as specified in Guidance documents for the Regional Haze Rule.  Daily IMPROVE data including daily data substitutions where applicable are available from the Annual Summary Composition tool and from the VIEWS Query Wizard.

IMPROVE data calculated using the new IMPROVE were added to the the Annual Summary Trends and Composition tools on  3/9/2006.  Select the IRHR2 program for visibility metrics calculated using the new IMPROVE algorithm.  These data can also be downloaded from the Query Wizard under the IRHR2 program or from the Annual Summary Summary Data Page.
 
  Trends
Displays annual timelines for aggregations such as the best and worst 20% sampled visibility days, annual mean, etc.  A 'preset' panel on the upper left hand side of the page offers quick links to preconfigured data products.  Users can select monitoring sites from a list or map.  Other selections, such as monitoring program, aerosol parameter, time period, can be selected from the expandable control panels.  Custom data products for Regional Haze compliance are available.  The trend analysis panel provides options to select 2000-2004 baseline values, natural condition estimates, and glide slopes from baseline to natural estimates in 5-yr incremental attainment intervals.
  Composition
Displays aerosol composition charts and tabular data.  Timelines show daily stacked bar charts for selected aerosol species, with best and worst 20% sampled extinction days indicated.  Pie charts show the average composition for the selected aggregations.   A 'preset' panel on the upper left hand side of the page offers quick links to preconfigured data products.  Users can select monitoring sites from a list or map.  Other selections, such as monitoring program, aerosol parameter, time period, can be selected from the expandable control panel.
  Spatial and Seasonal Patterns
Map displays contours of selected parameter values. Choose annual time period to display seasonal or averages or group averages (group averages for annual data only). Groups are sorted by aerosol extinction. Select map icon to display data and statistics for a given monitoring location.
  Back Trajectories
Back trajectories from ATAD. Click on a icon to show trajectories ending at a selected site.  Timeline shows best and worst 20% sampling days by aerosol extinction, reconstructed fine mass or reconstructed total mass. Click on a day from the timeline to select trajectory arrival day.

  Summary Data Files - Regional Haze Rule
Data files containing Regional Haze Rule metrics, including aerosol, light extinction, and natural conditions, that were used to generate the graphics and data products available on the VIEWS Annual Summary pages.
