Trends graph shown for Mt. Rainier is from 1993 - 1999. Yet the opening statement on the long-term trends page says analysis is for any sites with data from 1988 thru 1998. So what I would like to know is if the trend slope shown on the "map" is from 1993 - 99 or for 1988 - 98. EPA's recent report to congress states there is "no" siginificant trend at MORA for any variable for any percentile for the period 1988 - 1998, except for an improvement in winter season average deciview. This could be contrary to what the trend map indicates. By the way, they also reported a worsening trend for best days for Alpine Lakes (Snoqualmie Pass) even though there is only five data points and only two of those years (97 & 98) meet data completeness criteria "after" eligible data substitutions.
Thanks! Frank Van Haren
