NPS/CIRA's Additional QA/QC ProceduresDescription of the QA/QC procedures on the aerosol and optical data conducted by the National Park Service. In addition the graphical data products generated as part of the QA/QC procedure are provided. These analyses are the final checks on the IMPROVE data before their release. NPS/CIRA QA/QC Procedures - Overview of the IMPROVE network’s quality assurance system and data validation procedures conducted by NPS/CIRA. NPS/CIRA QA/QC Data Products - Each quarter, NPS/CIRA generates a number of routine graphical data products to assist in the QA of the IMPROVE particulate data. These graphical data products are made available in quarterly reports through a series of power point files. The quarterly reports typically include the following files: File Name Description Detailed descriptions of the chart types and their purpose are included in the NPS/CIRA QA/QC Procedures overview document. Note that quarterly data validation reports are produced during the 30-day review period that occurs after the data are delivered and made available through the IMPROVE database. The reports do not reflect changes to and subsequent redeliveries of the data that may have occurred after this period.
