SITE HISTORY

Site Location: The monitoring site was located in central Kentucky at Mammoth Cave National Park, approximately 48 kilometers northeast of Bowling Green.

Photographic Station: The camera was located at the air quality-monitoring site near the Great Onyx Cave, and viewed terrain to the WNW (~284°).

Operational Period: Mammoth Cave 03/31/92 – 05/10/97

Data Collection: Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 3,700 35mm-color slides of Mammoth Cave were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
