SITE HISTORY
Site Location: The monitoring site was located in the Green Mountain National Forest in southwestern Vermont, approximately 12 kilometers southeast of Manchester Center.
Photographic Station: The camera was originally located approximately 2 kilometers south of Lye Brook Meadows and viewed Mother Myrick Mountain (~336°), 18.0 km until October 1991. The camera was relocated to Little Equinox Mountain in June 1992 and viewed Stratton Mountain (~112°), 17.86 km. This new vista was chosen to support other IMPROVE instruments monitoring the Manchester Valley.
Operational Period: Mother Myrick Mountain Vista 05/11/87 – 10/27/91
Stratton Mountain Vista 06/16/92 – 04/17/95
Data Collection: Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 5,000 35mm-color slides of the Mother Myrick Mountain Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
