SITE HISTORY

Site Location: The monitoring site was located on the southeastern edge of Maui Island off State Highway 378.

Photographic Station: The camera was located near the Haleakala National Park Visitor Center at the main park entrance and viewed Hana Kauhi (~77°), 7.57 km.

Operational Period: Hana Kauhi Vista 07/15/87 – 04/12/95

Data Collection: Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 7,000 35mm-color slides of the Hana Kauhi Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
