SITE HISTORY

Site Location: The monitoring site was located approximately 160 kilometers east of El Paso, Texas on the Texas side of the Texas/New Mexico border.

Photographic Station: The camera was located approximately ten kilometers south of Pine Springs at the air quality monitoring shelter and near the radio repeater station on the east side of Guadalupe Canyon. The camera viewed Sierra Prieta (~226°), 43.0 km.

Operational Period: Sierra Prieta Vista 06/04/83 - 04/18/95

Data Collection: Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 12,000 35mm-color slides of the Sierra Prieta Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
