SITE HISTORY

Site Location: The monitoring site was located on the lower eastern slope of the Southern Snake Range in east central Nevada, near the Utah border.

Photographic Station: The camera was located at a weather station, directly north of the visitor center on Nevada Highway 488 and viewed Notch Peak (~77°), 72.0 km.

Operational Period: Notch Peak Vista 06/10/86 – 04/16/95

Data Collection: Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 10,000 35mm-color slides of the Notch Peak Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
