SITE HISTORY

Site Location: The monitoring site was located in northwestern Montana, approximately three kilometers north of the West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park.

Photographic Station: The camera was located in the sewage lift pump house on the southern shore of Lake McDonald and viewed Garden Wall (~46°), 29.5 km.

Operational Period: Garden Wall Vista 01/13/83 – 04/20/95

Data Collection: Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 11,500 35mm-color slides of the Garden Wall Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
