SITE HISTORY

 

 

Site Location:               The monitoring site was located across the southern edge of Florida, approximately 45 kilometers southwest of Miami covering most of Florida Bay.

 

 

Photographic Station:    The camera was located on the Shark Valley Tower at the north end of the park off US Highway 41 and viewed Shark Valley (219°), 0.74 km.

 

 

Operational Period:       Shark Valley Vista 04/02/84 – 08/09/88

 

 

Data Collection:            Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 2,500 35mm-color slides of the Shark Valley Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
