SITE HISTORY

Site Location: The monitoring site was located in the Superior National Forest in northeastern Minnesota, approximately 30 kilometers east of Ely, near Moose Lake.

Photographic Station: The camera was located in the Fernberg Acid Rain Station Area, three kilometers east of Triangle Lake. The camera was mounted atop a one-story building and viewed Gypo Lake Rise (~320°), 30.0 km.

Operational Period: Gypo Lake Rise Vista 09/27/85 - 05/31/95

Data Collection: Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 4,100 35mm-color slides of the Gypo Lake Rise Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
