SITE HISTORY
Site Location: The monitoring site was located on Mount Desert Island on the central coast of Maine, approximately three kilometers west of Bar Harbor on Route 233 at the Acadia National Park Headquarters.
Photographic Station: The camera was located on the roof of the ranger maintenance building on the summit of Cadillac Mountain and viewed Blue Hill (~290°), 30.75 km.
Operational Period: Blue Hill Vista 05/18/83 – 04/14/95
Data Collection: Photographs were taken at 09:00, 12:00, and 15:00 daily. Approximately 10,000 35mm-color slides of the Blue Hill Vista were reviewed to develop the provided historical photographic archive.
